I have learnt exercises for my hand and arm, and she has endless patience, combined with firmness to help me teach my body to regain lost function.
In addition she has liaised on my behalf with the various medical authorities, such as wheelchair services to make sure that I have been able to obtain the equipment needed, and has also advised my carers on specific handling methods to enable me to be more comfortable when in bed.

"Having spent some time in hospital following a fall, I came to live in a nursing home as I was rather frail and unable to walk. I met Andrea, my physio which was one of the best days of my life. She was very patient with me and slowly I was able to use a stand aid. She gave me lots of exercises and eventually I was able to walk with a frame, and now two sticks!"

"From day one, Andrea was fully committed and has taken the "big picture" approach in her therapy which has meant looking at all associated areas and needs that at first glance might not have been visible. A thorough diagnosis was followed by action steps. She has proactively introduced new techniques and equipment as required and very importantly Andrea is very aware of the mental impact of physical disability and is a great motivator and gives great encouragement and support on top of the physio activities. This gives support not just to the patient but also to the whole family.
